Richard and Patricia teaching about the Madrone tree
 in the Terra Flora woods

Seminar Overview

During the weekend celebrating the Summer Solstice we warmly open our home and gardens to members and friends of the Flower Essence Society. This course is intended for those practitioners who have already attended our Certification Program, or who are simply interested in updating their general awareness of flower essence research and therapeutic developments from the Flower Essence Society

In addition to classroom presentation and discussion, our time together will include walks in the Terra Flora gardens and woodlands, buffet lunches and snacks served on site. An optional field trip is scheduled for Monday, June 22 to enjoy the Sierra Mountains and imbue ourselves in the message of John Muir’s Range of Light.

This event promises to be an extraordinary time for friends of the Flower Essence Society - old and new - to come together during a most beautiful time of year – we hope you will be with us!

In every walk with nature
one receives far more
than he seeks.

Thank you for such a marvelous experience and opening your home and hearts to us. It is so inspiring to be around fellow flower essence people after so many years of primarily working on my own. I enjoyed the symbolism, imagery and poetry that enhanced your presentations. I especially adored the time spent with each plant and the discussions of their essential qualities.

The Range of Light: Savoring the Sierras –
Field Trip Monday, June 22

This is an optional event for participants in the weekend seminar. We will depart early in the morning to enjoy walks and stirring vistas in the High Sierra Mountains. Richard Katz and Patricia Kaminski will guide us in an encounter with wildflowers, trees, geological formations and wildlife, to inspire and inform our bodies and souls about the language of Nature and the special role of flower essences.

Participants are asked to bring their own lunch, snacks and water for this event. We will arrange car pooling among those who are attending, with the goal of ecological use of our vehicles. Physical fitness for this excursion will be mostly on a moderate level, but will include some strenuous times of uphill climbing. We will be at an elevation of 6000-7500 feet (1830-2285 meters), with exposure to the strong solar forces of the High Sierra. Those who enroll will be asked to sign a standard form regarding their basic health condition and physical fitness.

The radiance in some places is so great as to be fairly dazzling... every crystal, every flower is a window opening into heaven, a mirror reflecting the Creator.  — John Muir
