April 2009

Dear Friends,

We are enjoying glorious spring energy here at Terra Flora, including an abundance of flowers and blooming fruit trees. We have been delighted by the birth of baby lambs and we're seeing other wildlife exhibit their spring-time behaviors; rabbits are darting about at dawn, hawks are calling loudly to each other, and we can see turtles sunning themselves on a rock in the pond, with wild ducks enjoying a swim on their way north.

We hope you enjoy the offerings by practitioners in this newsletter, which are the result of spring-like creative endeavors that continue to inspire and inform us in our work with flower essence therapy.

Wishing you the beauty of the season,

The FES Team

Don't miss the FES 2009 classes

Flower Essence Formulas:
Powerful Remedies for Times of Crisis

"Flower essences were first developed during an earlier time of traumatic economic and social upheaval, the Great Depression of the 1930s. In the face of today’s challenges, these potent plant remedies can be important allies as we seek the wisdom, inner strength, emotional equanimity and resolve needed to meet a new world crisis." We invite you to read this article written by Richard Katz that gives us a perspective on the use of flower essence formulas in times of crisis and also examines the context in which flower remedies were first developed by Dr. Edward Bach.

Read about Father Joseph’s work as a missionary and a report from him on a series of workshops held in the region of Rondônia, Brazil. This should be inspiring to read for anyone who provides education on the Bach flower remedies or flower essence therapy in general.

Thank you for such a marvelous experience and opening your home and hearts to us. It is so inspiring to be around fellow flower essence people after so many years of primarily working on my own. I enjoyed the symbolism, imagery and poetry that enhanced your presentations. I especially adored the time spent with each plant and the discussions of their essential qualities.

— Amy Erez, Sugi Health and Fitness, Pleasant Hill, CA

“I feel so very blessed to have been touched by your beautiful energy and that of the Terra Flora gardens!
